And truthfully… sometimes our own little world in this beach town is exactly where we want to be. Some people will never understand why we love this place so much… and that’s okay. Because if you know, you KNOW. It’s that feeling when the windows are down, the music is up, the ocean is right there, and for a little while, nothing else really matters. No big plans. No fancy itinerary. Just being together, taking the long way home, stopping for a sunset, or deciding a beach walk sounds better than anything else on the to-do list. It’s the kind of life that makes you realize you don’t always need MORE… sometimes you just need more of THIS. And we think that’s why so many people fall in love with the Outer Banks. You come for a week. You make memories you talk about all year. You start planning your next trip before you’ve even packed the car to leave. And somewhere along the way, you catch yourself saying… “Can you imagine if we actually lived here?” We get it. Even after years of calling this place home, we still have those moments when we look at each other and think…How did we get so lucky that this is our everyday life? This is SEA HAVEN. And this one means a little more to us. What started with a connection on IG turned into conversations, meetups when they were in town + a friendship that felt pretty instant. Here we are years later getting to be part of another chapter in their OBX story - Sea Haven. Funny how one little connection can turn into a friendship you never saw coming. We had the privilege of helping our dear friends purchase this beautiful semi-oceanfront Outer Banks home, + now Sea Haven is officially ready to welcome guests. There’s something really special about watching people you care about take a dream, work hard for it, + turn it into something real. And Sea Haven is exactly that. Ocean views. Morning coffee with salty air. Barefoot walks to the beach. Long summer days with your favorite people because vacations are even better when the whole family can come, Sea Haven is DOG-friendly too. What we love most is knowing this home will become part of so many other families’ OBX memories - the vacations they count down to, the photos they look back on + the “remember that week at the beach” - stories told for years. That’s the good stuff. Miriam + Kyle - thank you for trusting Mike + I to walk alongside you through another chapter. We’re beyond excited for you, incredibly proud of what you’ve created, + so grateful we got to be part of it. It’s still pretty amazing to think IG brought our paths together all those years ago but the friendship that came from that one little connection will always be the best part. Remember when we said stay tuned after this closing? Well...THIS is what we were waiting to share. Sea Haven is officially open for guests - pups included!
